Mr. Patrick Ferry, Kat’s father, was a wonderful and loving person, and without a doubt, the greatest Irish father I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Whenever I visited their beautiful home in Donegal, as a friend of his daughter and son-in-law, Kat & Tom, he and his wife welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like a part of their family. After the first visit, I was practically treated as if I was one of their own.
Mr. Patrick Ferry had a delightful sense of humor, which always brought joy to our conversations. During a tourist walking tour to Glenveagh castle, he said to me that he was getting old and couldn’t walk fast. In response, I assured him that he looked strong, fit, and not a day older than 47. With a twinkle in his eye, he replied that as long as I kept up with the compliments, I would always be welcomed in his home.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have spent beautiful times with the Ferry family in both Ireland and the USA. The memories created, especially with their father, Mr. Patrick Ferry, are truly unforgettable. These cherished moments and memories will stay with me for the rest of my days. Mr. Patrick Ferry will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will never forget the warmth and love he shared. May he rest in peace!
