It is with deep regret I have learned of the death of Pat RIP
“He put the pen in my hand” in the Munster & Leinster Bank 66 South Mall in 1963.
He had a very successful career subsequently in AIB and was greatly admired.
I send my deepest sympathies to you all.

To Patricia and family, we started as first years in St.Colemans College Fermoy in 1954. At the Cork City Sports, I gave him my running shoes. He was competing in the inter firms relay for AIB and they collected one of the first or second prizes. We had a fair bit of contact back the years. He gave me the history of the famous Hennesy family, like Pat himself they too were also from Killavullen. Pat gave me the race card from the last race meeting in the Phoenix Park. May you rest in peace Pat.
We wish to offer our deepest sympathy on the death of our friend Patrick Fitzgerald.

Sincere sympathies to Patricia and family.
Having originally met Pat during the annual delivery of Christmas parcels from Bankcentre during the late 70's early 80's, I ultimately had the genuine privilege of working for Pat in the early 1990s, in Corporate Banking. He was not only a "rock of sense" and highly knowledgeable, but he also exhibited compassion for all in a very challenging, sometimes insensitive environment.
Rest in Peace, Pat

He was my first boss on joining AIIB in 1978 as a newly qualified accountant , and raw recruit to the world of banking . His wisdom , knowledge and qualities of leadership quickly brought me to where I needed to be as a member of the team . But more than that he was a true gentleman , widely respected as such by his colleagues .

Rest in peace Pat

So sorry to learn of Pat's death. My deepest sympathies to Patricia and family on their very sad loss.

I knew Pat and worked for him when he joined AIIB from Cork in the late 1970's. A fine leader with a wealth of banking experience and a gentleman as well.

Rest in Peace Pat
So sorry to learn of Pat’s passing after his long illness. Although he has not been seen in Woodbrook Golf Club for a long time his name has often been mentioned and he is fondly remembered by all who knew him. Pat was one of life’s true gentlemen.

Deepest condolences to Trish and the boys. May he now rest in peace.
To Patricia, Andrew, Robbie and extended family, Mary and I were saddened to learn of Pat's passing.

An accomplished banker he was a trusted friend to customer and colleague alike. We have many happy memories of good times together. In particular he was a confidant to a number of leaders of our company who could always rely on Pat's informed and frank observations. He was a well read man with a fully developed world view and always embraced great compassion for the victims of conflict.

A great sense of humor added to his enjoyment at both the golf course and the track. Novices at the card table would have an abrupt and expensive introduction to Pat's undoubted skills at measured risk taking!

Pat was always a gentle, gentleman - rest easy now old friend.

Brian and Mary
