We had some great times together on the pitch and he was very professional as a coach, ahead of his time . He also gave me my mortgage when it was difficult to get one. He had a great way with people and will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Dear Martina and David, I offer you my sincere sympathy on the occasion of Paddy's passing. Paddy was a very well liked Assistant Manager (Sub Agent) at Bank of Ireland, 7 Pearse Street, Athlone when I arrived there as a raw recruit in 1975. Despite my very obvious lack of knowledge, Paddy was always patient and encouraging. I remember his passion for Rugby and his kindness when offering me a lift to travel with you all to an Ireland International in Dublin, shortly after I arrived, when he didn't have to. Rest in peace Paddy.
