I just heard today (15th) of Paddy's death and to say I'm shocked is an understatement! I have very fond memories of Paddy especially as manager of Law United, where his half time team talks were legendary. Cups of tea at half time always had a good shot of Hennessy! Rest in Peace Paddy.

So sorry for your loss Carmel and your children. my mother worked for Paddy in a shop opposite StPeters church Phibsboro many years ago and I worked alongside him in elections and we all have fond memories of a comical character, the likes of whom we should never lose.

My wife and I only met Patrick a few times through his Sister ,Mary,and her daughters,We would like the family to know that our thoughts are with them all ,at this truly dreadful time.
To us he came across as an extremely interesting and an open man that immediately made you feel comfortable when in his company,we wish we had known him longer ,RIP, (Patrick) !

Patrick was an uncle when I was on my own in Dublin. Even though I would only see him once a week at work I felt like I counted on him on anything. He was a great moral support for me, always made me feel proud of myself and always made the whole clinic laugh with his stories. He will be remembered every single day.
