I am deeply saddened to learn of Patrick’s passing and with to extend my deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. It was my pleasure have to known Patrick both as a lecturer in UCD and as his Academic Year Head in Computer Science where he demonstrated himself to be an exemplary student and a true warrior. In my many interactions with Patrick I never once heard him complain about anything. In fact, despite all he was going through, he came across as such a positive young gentleman with impeccable manners with a remarkable determination towards educational attainment. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Patrick, my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. I was one of his lecturers in UCD computer science and I was amazed by his determination to complete his education despite the circumstances.

My deepest condolences. I have personally not had the privilege of meeting Patrick in person. However, judging by the few email interactions I have had with him and by looking at his academic performance, I can only imagine what a polite, engaged, determined and focused person Patrick was. Being the mother of young persons myself, I can only imagine what the loss of your Patrick means. Even though his life was short, I am sure it was impactful, important and that he touched the lives of many. I hope you can draw strength from the memories and from his legacy.

I am so sorry to hear of Patrick's passing. I met Patrick through my daughter when they were on St Anne's ward together - such a stoic and brave young man.

My sincere condolences to all of Patrick’s family and friends at this terrible time. I was lucky to have taught Patrick in Scoil Uí Mhuirí and he was an amazing student. Bright, witty, kind and a wonderful friend to many. May he rest in peace.
