Such wonderful childhood memories of going into shop, he was always so friendly whether you were spending a penny or buying loaf of bread, etc. He had such a wonderful and generous nature about him. To this day even though his store is a fishmongers now, we still call it Kenehans shop! Also remember his daughter who had the bakery next door for a time such a friendly lady too like her Dad. Thinking of you all during this time.

My sincere condolences to the extended kenehan family. I will always remember pat for his kindness and giving me the opportunity to work in the shop during college, he was such a gentleman and it was a pleasure to work for him during that time.

Our family have very happy memories of Pat in his shop on Devon Park corner. He always greeted us with a smile. Our girls loved to run down to Keneghans with their few bob and Pat was always delighted to see them. He would let them in behind the counter to view all the goodies and he had the patience of Job as they took their time making their choice. Happy days.
It was also lovely to have the chat with Pat and Eileen, whether in the supermarket or after 11 o'Clock mass in Salthill.
