The dash across the Connemara narrow roads ,were not going to make it. Ah ring the pier bar and paddy will wait for us Steve would say. And sure enough there he’d be hands on hips twinkling from head to toe. What’s your hurry lads. He was some lovely man part of the reason for going over. God bless you paddy joe . I have wonderful memories of Paddy Joe on the boat all those years ago. What an introduction to Bofin for all the young female day trippers seeing this handsome young man with the big bright smile and twinkling eyes. The ring in his ear gave him a bit if a rebellious look which added to his natural charm. Paddy Joe was also a very kind soul who loved to chat and always had a story to tell. A true Bofin legend.
