We lost a great friend. My sincerest condolences to the Kirby family.

I have many fond memories of working with Pat. Everyone who had the privilege of working with him, even once, respected him deeply. Pat will never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to you Margaret, to Fntan, Aoife and Freda. So shocked to hear the sad news of Pat's death. Will always remember him fondly at Greenford rugby club and the great times he had there. Im so so sorry he's passed on too early. There was a great presence about him.

I had the pleasure of working and traveling with Pat. He was a gem of a human being and I am so sorry for your loss. Pat talked lovingly about his family, how proud of his children and was, he was one of my favorite Cisconians.

My sincerest condolences to the Kirby family. I have known Pat since 2017 when I started work at Cisco. He was so very kind to me and so free with his advice and help as a new employee navigating the complex waters of an new job and company. Through the years I was impressed by his wisdom and humility. Always seeking to understand, there were many times when I asked a question over our company's chat and he wanted to meet live so he could better understand my questions.

Pat was so well respected among all who knew him and had the opportunity to work with him. I learned so much from him, not only about the content of the work, but how to listen to understand.

I was so saddened to hear about his untimely passing. I kept hoping to hear his winsome Irish accent, which was accompanied by his charming wit. I will miss him.

It was so moving to hear from his beloved family and the stories they shared about Pat as a dotting father, husband, brother and uncle. His life exemplified a life well lived and one where he was well loved.

May God bless his beloved wife, children, and family and may He comfort you and strengthen you in the days, months, and years to come.

I have some fond memories of working and socialising with Pat.
I first met him when I joined Cisco in July 2008 and we enjoyed an exciting period of time together in the business. Enjoyed our chats and always valued his thoughts and perspective. Also talking about rugby.

My sincere condolences to Margaret Aoife Fintan & Freda & also to Pat’s siblings & wider family…I had the pleasure of first getting to know Pat some 40+ years ago when we both played for Young Munster when even then as a very young front row forward he more than held his own when up against more seasoned adversaries…the Club was very dear to him & his opinions & debriefs post games right up to the end of last season were widely respected & well received by all his fellow Club members and friends…his passing has come as a huge shock to all of us involved with Young Munster & his quiet & measured presence in Tom Clifford Park will be sorely missed…my heartfelt sympathies again to all the Kirby family, rest in peace Pat
