Rest in Peace Pat, I remember Pat from the GPO in Cork from years ago when I worked there. I knew he was a noted actor in Shakespears plays with The Loft. A quiet unassuming gentleman.

A great Loft stalwart.
His Lear was a revelation and even after so many years its memory has not dimmed. Nor can it. He was a Lear for the ages.

Sincere sympathy to Gerard and the Lehane family on the deaths of Pat and Philomena. Pat was a towering presence in The Loft over many years. His gentle, mild-mannered personality was belied by his electrifying performances on the stage. He performed in countless productions and was a superb Richard III and King Lear. Like Shakespeare’s Antony, ‘his voice was propertied as all the tuned spheres.’ To conclude with the words of the Bard: 'Your cause of sorrow must not be measured by his worth, For then it hath no end'. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy with you and all the family on Pat's passing, coming so soon after the loss of Philomena.
We both have the strongest and warmest memories of Pat, not just as someone with whom we shared a stage in so many productions, but as a kind, gentle and caring mentor and friend. He was an inspiration, and all achieved in his quiet humble way.
We loved encountering him at the great Rebel occasions. His passion for the game was infectious.

Gerard,Sincere Sympathy to you Valerie and Ciara on the sad passing of Pat,and Philomena,Rip.Your kindness to your siblings in recent years has been remarkable, thinking and praying for you.

To Ger and the extended Lehane family, we are very sorry to hear that Pat has passed away.

A stalwart of "The Loft", (with my father, Pat and my Uncle Pearse), they had great artistic ability and stage presence which they used altruistically.

They never sought to commercialise their talent which they donated to the people of Cork out of love for Shakespeare and the "Theatre".

We will not see 'their' like again.

Very sorry to learn of Pat’s death coming so quickly after Philomena’s passing. Pat was such a lovely man and generously shared his oratorical skills. His mellifluous voice enhanced liturgies at The Lough Church, particularly his faultless narration of The Lord’s Passion on Good Fridays. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
