Mrs. McCullagh, Ivan, Avril, Ruth, Neil, & Judy,

We are very sorry for your loss. Mr. McCullagh has always been a very special man in my life since our first meeting in 1990. The whole McCullagh clan welcomed me into your lives and made me immediately feel like part of the family.

I always like to share a story about staying over at your home in Libertyville one weekend when Ivan and I were roommates at Loyola. I think Kevin and Javier were there too. We were all lounging around on a lazy Saturday morning watching music videos on MTV. Mr. McCullagh was with us while we watched Eddie Vedder and Peal Jam perform "Alive". At the end of the video, Mr. McCullagh stood up, sighed and said very seriously, "I prefer Smucker's." and walked out of the room. It was a classic show of his humor.

When I married Cyndi in 1996, it was very special to us that four McCullagh's attended to support us. We have watched our wedding video a lot in the past 27 years and always laugh/smile when we see Mr. McCullagh "dancing" with Cyndi. He certainly had a unique style of movement.

I am sorry that we cannot attend the funeral mass in-person, but know that we are thinking about all of you during this difficult time.
