I'm so saddened to hear of my old pal's passing. Pat was a lovely, amiable, fun fellow, who loved a laugh and loved his music.

He introduced me to real, authentic Blues music, and we partnered up as a performing musical duo for over 10 years. In our travels around the country, he was such fun to be with. I even loved his punny 'dad jokes.'
Pat must've known 1000s of songs. His rock n roll repertoire was endless! He also loved "an aul ramble" in the countryside among the birds and plants - all of which he could name.

I regret not seeing him much over the past 20 or so years (and I blame myself) so am also very grateful for the few times we did bump into eachother again and chatted. I'd begun to crave getting back together for gigs the last few years but life got in the way and I'd left it too late when I last met him.

He had lots and lots of old pals from the music scene and always got a big welcome from them whenever he appeared. I hope he's now with the ones he'd so missed.

Our sincerest condolences to Rosemary, Kate and Becky, and yours and Pat's extended family - from the Whites of Ballymore. Rosemary, you have been a great, stalwart believer in and supporter of Pat's musical career. That's a precious gift! Thank you ❤️

Deepest sympathy to the Martin family on the loss of your beloved husband, dad, and grandfather. Pat was a lovely gentleman, we had many a chat on our way to work. The last one that stands out in my memory is when he told me they were relocating to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. May Pat’s soul Rest in Peace.

Although I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Pat personally, I met Kate in London, and we quickly discovered how true it is that there’s only one degree of separation in ireland. It turned out Pat had played music with Larry - who was a great friend of my mum’s!

I’ve enjoyed hearing stories of Pat’s music days. His legacy clearly lives on in the warmth and spirit of those who knew him.

Wishing my deepest condolences to the whole family at this time.
