I am so sorry to hear that Patrick has passed away. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to all of Patrick’s family and friends. I remember as a kid when my cousin Jackie brought him to our family gatherings and he had an immediate impact on everyone he met. A great mind and great fun is what i will remember. Rest in peace Patrick.

So very sad to hear of Patrick’s death. It's been a lifetime since my sister brought Paddy into our lives - I still remember his impact, everybody just loved him, especially our Dad (RIP). Hard to believe Patrick is gone but it is so nice to read the lovely messages from family, and the many friends he made. Patrick touched so many people, was loved and will be missed. Rest easy.

Patrick, who will I go to now for intelligent, sharp, informed, lively and entertaining political debate? You loved your world politics and I always looked forward to our late night conversations. Your acerbic wit and brilliant one liners made me laugh out loud. You had a true way with words, your own unique style of expression.
I’m devastated to lose you so soon and so suddenly. I love you loads and I will miss you very much. You brought such joy into our lives from the first day Jackie took you home to meet the family all those years ago. Know that you will always be in my heart. Rest in Peace. 🙏😢💐

I was so shocked and sad to hear of Patrick’s untimely death. I have many fond memories of Patrick, going back to when I was 12 years old and he was a child of 2, when he was first brought into my life by my sister Jackie. I can’t believe I will never chat to him again in this life, or get a funny text from him on my phone. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis agus mo chomhbhrón ó chroí lena chlann faoi bhrón.

I remember Patrick as a happy smiling friendly young boy when I was little myself - introduced to him via my cousin Jackie. I'm so sadden to hear that he has passed away. Sending all my condolences to his family and friends in their loss. xxx

Deepest sympathy to all the family and friends of Patrick! I knew of so many names including his brother Michael, uncles and aunts it was like knowing the full family. I know Patrick several years my first was at the underage May not been of age disco in the fiddlers where u seen him watching and out having the banter with the fag in the mouth. We good chats and yarns over the past couple of months and he reminded me of one story where I took him home in a Nissan micra chair and all and the only argument I ever won was a wheelchair woll fit in a Nissan micra with 4 people in toe.Patrick didn’t see the disability but the ability if you told him he couldn’t do something he make sure he got it done. Independence was his main key and privacy was key. Many the nights on duty we had a Chinese and watched a film till my pager went off he even tried teach me bridge which never worked! Way to describe patrick was independent kind but stubborn but stubbornness came from not wanting to admit he needed help as he aimed to remain independence. Last day I seen of him was leaving in contra-ban of a hospital sneaking in his cola vapes to the ward and seeing his room done up for Christmas as he looked forward to Christmas. Many the time I walked passed his room with others there visiting

I am so sorry to hear about Patrick’s passing.

Patrick was a great friend to me in my childhood/ teen years and I always enjoyed his company during his years on Kinsealy Lane. He was very funny and full of mischief - and I remember him with a big smile.
