Pat was always so good to me. I am now almost 40 years in CD.
He took me in and made me feel welcome. He got me home safely as a teenager. He supported me when both parents died, even signing some papers as a Peace Commissioner. He gave me lifts everywhere. He put me up in your aunt's house by the railway line in Newbridge for the Special Olympics in 2003. I am still a Map Reading and Comms Instructor, thanks to him and his faith in me. He gave me references when I was job seeking.
I owe him so much.
We never once had a bad moment.
May you all find comfort and thank you for your superb speech in Church earlier.
