To the Moran family, Regretfully I couldn’t attend Patricks Funeral today
It is indeed with great sadness to learn of the Passing of Patrick Moran. We offer our sincere and deepest sympathy to all of Patrick’s family, to his siblings Thomas, Nora, Ceilia, Kathleen and sister Mary in the US, to his nieces and nephews in Currane and Achill and to the extended Moran and Gallagher families at home and abroad at this sad time for you all.
Remembering Patrick over my lifetime when visiting in Currane, as one of life true gentlemen Patrick’s friendly nature and friendly welcome with a firm handshake was always appreciated during those visits particularly after Mass on Sunday mornings. Living alone was not an easy task in Currane and I always admired Patrick for the dignified way he lived his independent life, dividing his daily farm life routine with his land, animals and home duties and always keeping himself “Prim and Proper”.
Walking Knocnacassagh will not be the same.
