Sincere condolences to the O'Donnell family to Maria, Kilien, and Benjamin
on the sad passing of Patrick a,k,a Jock, To his brothers Gerry and Martin and extended family and friends of which he had many. I got to know him on one short visit this year. He was a tour de force and had a great zest for life that belied his age. He had a wealth of stories and was an entertaining visitor. It was a pity he had not the opportunity to write an autography as it would make a thriller.
Imagine my sorrow one Sunday morning when I heard of his sad death doing something that was so important to him. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal agus leaba i measc na naomh aige. Slán Leat.

Jockey has enriched my life and that of my family. As a young person, his music had a guiding influence on me. We raised our children with his songs. Later, they also came along to the concerts, and Jock would always invite us backstage for a little chat after the show. There, we heard stories and talked about politics.
Jack, I thank you for that. I will always keep you in my thoughts and in my heart.
I wish your children and the rest of the Bollocks much strength for the time ahead.

Shocked to hear of the passing of my old mate Jock. When we were struggling for funds to run Marketown Music Collective for children in the North West Inner City of Dublin, Jock rocked in with the Bollock Brothers with a benefit gig to help keep us in the road. Sadly missed.

A wonderful person sadly is no longer with us. Jock, I met you in person last year on a plane, and in May we had a wonderful evening full of music, beer and fun in Hamm. Thank you for the soundtrack to my youth! I'm grateful I met you and I will never forget you.
