My sincere sympathy to the family of Paddy Cole. I have many special memories from our playing days, especially when Paddy came on as a sub in 1969 for Westmeath in the League Semi Final against a Kerry team in Croke Park who had Legends of the game on their team at the time. He instantly gave the Maroon and White a morale boost with a great goal. While we lost by 4 points Paddy's contribution was exceptional. The many lovely tributes to the memory of Paddy are richly deserved. May he rest in peace.
