Paddy coached our three sons over the last number of years so he has figured very largely in all our lives and will be missed so much. His quotes will live forever in our house! I always worried about the boys cycling and racing but once Paddy was on board I was able to relax! He gave them such good advice and showed a genuine interest in all areas of their life. My sons will never forget his input and we are all very glad that we had the opportunity to know him. Our sincere condolences to all his family.

So so sorry to hear about Paddy, gone way way way too soon. Sincere condolences to you Anne and the family at this sad time.
I have known Paddy since 2001 during my early days on the Women's Commission of Cycling Ireland. I was a complete novice, new to cycling and new to organising cycling and consider myself extremely fortunate to have crossed paths with Paddy Doran. He guided our small women's cycling group to build the structures that are still in place today and overcome the many challenges we faced along the way. He was always generous with his advice and was hugely interested and genuinely cared that we would succeed in our goals to give women's cycling the status it deserved. He was a great guy, a friend, a coach and we all owe him a huge debt for his enormous contribution to cycling and from my perspective to women's cycling in particular. He was our very good friend, there is no doubt about that.

Our deepest sympathy to Anne, Laura and all the family on the sudden loss of your dear husband and father. A true gentleman, Paddy always had a wave and cheerful greeting when you'd meet him out on the bike. And on many a morning in recent times we'd have a long chat with him outside our garden gate. He'll be missed by so many.
Rest in peace, Paddy.
