Dear Eileen, Shane, Niall and Ronan. My deepest condolences on the passing of Paddy. As a small boy I was always enthralled by Paddy, and have great memories of life with him in Woodstock Gardens. I also recall reading the God Squad in one sitting following the launch. It is a book I will always keep close. In more recent years my own young son was similarly enthralled, in particular when racing Paddy in a car park out Saggart way. I will also always cherish Paddy's wonderful words at the memorial gathering in 2011 for my mother, Yvonne. He will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts are with you all. Ivar, Marnie and Ivar Will.

Eileen and family, I was privileged to know Paddy in Synge Street school. He was kind enough to mention the lads he met there in the early 70s in his wonderful book. Paddy gave us a greater understanding of the abilities of disabled people. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dïlis.
Sincere sympathy to all the family on the sad passing of Paddy. I first met Paddy when he engaged us to replace windows in his home in Inchicore. I loved his sense of humor and wit. He knew my sister Joan (RIP) who was in rehab and spent many of her years in hospital in Kilkenny. I read his book The God Squad which was a tough read. Meeting Paddy made me a better more tolerant person. May he rest in eternal peace !

I was lucky enough to have met Paddy in Leaving Cert class between 1969 and 1971 in Synge Street CBS. What a wicked sense of humour. Whether winding up a teacher or bringing his wheelchair to a dance only to be thrown out. He always managed a smile for his adversaries!
So sorry Eileen to hear of Paddy's passing May he Rest In Peace From Audrey and all the staff in St Vincents Hospital
Dear Eileen, I will always remember your great hospitality at your home in Inchicore where myseself an d Paddy stated a conversation that led to many memorable adventures. Paddy was of course fearless but he also had a great gift of story telling and a wicked humour that brought people into the conversation. His generosity of spirit was matched by an equal distain for the trappings of power, especially of the pompous kind. His rogue voice will be greatly missed.
My sincere sympathy to Eileen and family on your loss.

Dear Eileen, Sorry to her about your loss of your partner Paddy.

He was a character and I found him always interesting to work with on his various projects dealing with the exploitation of many Irish children and indeed their families.

Kind regards,

Eileen, so sorry to hear of Paddy's passing. Thinking of you and the family in this very sad time. Tim & I have fond memories of times we spent together in Baltinglass with you both. RIP Paddy
Dear Eileen, Shane, Niall, and Ronan: Eamonn and I were deeply sorry to hear of Paddy's death.
We both have such fond memories of him: Eamonn, in particular, from the few days we all spent away together, but also from our visits to each others' homes.
I deeply appreciate all the times he visited my school and students and opened their eyes in his humorous, generous way, so that they could see all the challenges faced by people with a disability.
And the fun we'd have over a few drinks afterwards is, and always will be, unforgettable.
He was irrepressible. And his writing was an authentic, compelling, and necessary voice in Ireland - particularly at the time of The God Squad's publication.
Our deepest condolences to you all, and to Paddy's sister, Ann.
Love from Catherine and Eamonn

Eileen, just a short note to say how very sad I was to hear about the passing of Paddy. Every time I drive into Westwinds, I chuckle at the memory of our happy meetings and the good humoured slagging from Paddy that would always ensue.
Paddy always managed to cheer me up and my regret was always the fact I was rushing off to some other appointment.
Eileen take care and condolences to the lads...
My deepest sympathy to the Doyle family on the loss of your lovable and lion-hearted Paddy
To Eileen, Shane, Niall and Ronan, my thoughts and sympathies to you and all the Doyle family during this very sad time. May Paddy Rest in Peace.
My deepest condolence to Eileen and family. Paddy during his period writing the God Squad opened my mind to the true meaning of social justice. He made a difference and will be fondly remembered.
To Eileen and family and to Anne (Paddy's sister)
Paddy is a man I shall never forget. He was a man who knew his mind and worked hard to achieve his aims and objectives whether they be for others or for his own life.A man of courage and strength and full of laughter too. Enjoy the journey Paddy.
