I remember fondly your parents calling to see our parents(they always brought us treats). They loved to have a cup of tea and reminisce about their younger years as well as proudly talking about you all. Hopefully they are all having a good catch up now in heaven x

Condolences to Paddy's extended family. Happy memories of the late 1950s when we were fellow members of Brownstown cycling club and when we cycled together to fleadhanna ceoil in various parts of the country and Paddy became an accomplished performer on the spoons. These two interests - cycling and traditional Irish music -we shared before going on our separate ways on our respective journeys through life. A much respected son of Suncroft has left us - a blacksmith's son who married a blacksmith's daughter. His children, grandchildren and descendants to come will have every right to be proud of him. I regret missing the final funeral services - I learned of Paddy's death too late.

Paddy and myself started in Donnelly Mirrors on the same day,and I can say,without any hesitation,he was the most amazing, friendly gentleman Iv ever met. Deepest sympathy to all the Fitzgerald family ,and may Paddy rest in Heavenly peace with his lovely wife 🙏
