Pa, the world is a bit duller without your presence. I never left your company without tears rolling down my face having laughed so heartily with you. I have so many beautiful memories of my uncle Pa. How amazed I was watching you play clarinet and saxophone. Your fingers drawing magical tunes from the tin whistle, and singing harmony with you on The White Rose of Athens. You truly were one in a million, a gentle man, devoted to Margaret and the boys. Rest easy Pa, you were well loved and will be remembered fondly. Till the white rose blooms again. Ger, Andrew and Joe.

Sincere condolences to Margaret and all the Hennessy family on the death of Paddy. I always think of him with a smile on his face. My first memories of him were as 'Paddy the painter' when he painted our house in Waterford and then when we moved to Tramore and he was again painting our house. As I grew up I realised what a wonderful musician he was. He was indeed a very talented man. It was always a pleasure to meet and chat to Paddy.

Hi Paddy, I guess you’re somewhere watching all this with considerable interest. Along with everyone else Sheila and I send you our deepest condolences. Your passing saddens us greatly because you were a lovely fella and you’ll be greatly missed. You and I first met many years ago when you came to Cardiff with what seemed like half the Irish population (what a wonderful family!) for the wedding of your eldest, Paul, to my daughter Bridget. We became friends immediately, because that’s the sort of man you were, and my late wife Lyn, Bridget’s Mum, had a special affection for you I think because she sensed that, like her, you had a sense of mischief. A twinkle in the eye perhaps. Years went by and our paths crossed occasionally and I always looked forward to seeing your smiling, cheery face and a warm welcome. You and Margaret were a great couple to visit or be visited by. Lyn died in 2002 and some time later I introduced you to my new wife Sheila. She too quickly developed a strong affection for you and Margaret which was fully reciprocated. And that’s why you are, and will always be, very much in our minds and hearts with much love and respect. Bye, bye Paddy.
