Sincere condolences to all Paddy's family on the passing of Paddy. I never met Paddy but he was an old school friend of my dad's, and sent a lovely letter and then emails when my dad died last year. He shared some lovely stories which gave us great comfort. I hope you will find some solace knowing how much his kindness meant to us, especially to my mam Anne. She knew Paddy from growing up in Churchtown, as well from meeting him many times with my dad. May Paddy's kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

He was a friendly face to a cub reporter starting out and we swapped stories of picking up knocks playing for Synger. He continued a great tradition in covering Gaelic games and he will be missed.
