Anne and I were honoured to have such a treasured friend in dear Paddy.
He and his beloved wife, Ann, were always so welcoming to us on Sunday nights for singsongs and storytelling, which often included tales of Paddy's adventures on the high seas!
I will never forget that when I had an operation some years ago, Paddy and Ann kindly gave me a lift to Mass in the Oratory at Dunnes Stores in Cornelscourt every day.
Paddy will always be remembered by us as being a gentle man and a gentleman.
May he and Ann be reunited once more in the presence of the Lord to Whom they were both so devoted.
Their likes will never be seen again.
