I met Paddy in Easons in the late 90's. We spent many hours searching for answers to the Sunday Independent's Great Book Quiz.
He was a lovely gentleman.

Deepest Conndolences to all the Kavanagh family.
Paddy recruited me in Irish Shell in 1985 and has been ever present in my working life ever since. Paddy had a great and unique outlook to life! Down the years, driving his iconic mini bus to many Sporting and Literary events and gatherings throughout the country. I remember Paddy spending many hours hunting and chasing clues to capture Gay Byrnes fabled "Gold Bar" on his morning radio show ...one year Paddy came agonisingly close!!! Paddy..you truly were one of a kind..May his spirit live on!
Sincere sympathy to all the Kavanagh family. We will miss meeting and greeting Paddy on his walks on the road. It was always a pleasure to meet him . May he rest in peace and may happy memories be a comfort to you all at this sad time.
