It was very moving to join the mass from Edinburgh and lovely to hear some of his story and the tributes to him. My memory of him is as kind, loving and gentle, a shining example as the eldest of his generation among the Stout clan, now gone but not forgotten. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam álainn. Sad news indeed, as long as I knew paddy he was always a soft spoken gentleman. May he rest in eternal peace.
