I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Paddy over a period of some 25 yrs and during that time it became clear to me that I was in the presence of a gentleman and someone that was always prepared to listen ,value and respect the opinion of others.

Dear Rosemary, Gary and Susan, and all the family, we are so sorry to hear of the death of Paddy. What a gentleman he was. I remember him as like a mountain goat leading us up many mountain hikes many years ago, with speed and agility, he was fit as a fiddle, and always friendly.
Norman too has many memories from long ago, especially in Derrygareen.

Paddy was a great colleague, mentor & leader down through the years both here in Skibb & as acting County Engineer in Cork.
He was a kind and active person who contributed so much to the local and Council community. Active as a scout leader for many years and subsequently as the chief Coconut on their many adventures. He also gave freely and generously of his time to Skibbereen Geriatric Society and saw many of their construction projects to fruition.
Paddy made a huge contribution to the people of Cork, West Cork, & particularly the Skibbereen area.
May he Rest In Peace.
