Today July 14 l learned of Paddy’s death. To Paddy’s family I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Paddy for many years when I worked in IADT. He was a great worker, supported all staff and a good friend to many. His sense of humour and smiling eyes will always be remembered.

I was both utterly shocked and so saddened to receive this news whilst out of the country. My heart is heavy for you Lisa and all your family. Words rarely capture the true essence of what we wish to share especially in the midst of this grief. I shared a hug and a chat with Paddy recently as you know and as always he was a gentle soul who made me laugh and found in his quite way a manner of asking how you were. So much about him I know is now missed by you all.

It was an honour to work with Paddy in the finance team. He was such a charismatic person, everyone loved him and he was always welcoming of a question and never too busy to answer.
In the office he would have spoken about each of you in such a loving way it felt like we knew you too.

I didn't know Paddy particularly well so I can only speak to him as a work colleague, butI feel it important to say that when-ever I needed him to clarify work matters he was always extremely obliging and very generous with his time. And he knew his stuff. He was sharp as a tack and very, very funny. I really liked and respected Paddy as a work colleague and felt him to be a person of strong integrity. It is devastating to hear of is passing and I feel deeply for his family and friends. We've lost a very, very good egg. My condolences to his family. Go easy Paddy.

Heartfelt condolences to all of Paddys family and friends. Lots of great memories of when we emigrated to London together in 1987 up to his return to Dublin in the mid 90s. Lots of pubs visited, lots of Newcastle matches attended and I lost count of all the Pogues/Shane MacGowan concerts we went to back then and in all the years since.
I missed out on going back to Dublin for the best part of two years because of Covid but it was good to meet up with him in the Stillorgan Orchard when I visited last Christmas.
