He was a good and long friend to my dad from their pipeline days in the 70s& 80s, right up to Paddys last visit to us at dads funeral - he was a great character & the stories of those days wont be forgotten.

I was so sorry to hear of paddys death i know he wasnt well.and i didnt know him but heard a lot about him from his cousins daughter angie from england.and i know her and her father are devastated. MAY YOUR GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.SÈAN DERRY

My deepest sympathies to PJ, Hugh, Ann and all of your families. Paddy was a once off and the last of a group of pipeliners who travelled the UK in the 70's and 80's with my husband Dave (also sadly deceased). The work was hard but "the craic was mighty" as Paddy always said, and we were a tight knit family in those days. Paddy was so proud of his own family and am sure will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
