From the first time I met Pat in the men's shed,we became friends, he always had a great sense of humour.His daughter Geraldine used to bring and collect him every Wednesday morning,she also brought his late wife Rose for the drive,then in later years his son Patrick brought him..He will be sadly missed, I hope Patrick continues to to join his friends in the club

We shared grandchildren and great grandchildren and met up at the Melia gatherings to celebrate weddings, christenings etc. and I so looked forward to seeing him there. I will miss you Paddy. To the large and wonderful extended Melia Family - so hard to say goodbye to your cherished dad and grandad. He was a real gentleman and an inspiration to us. I have no doubt that all your love and support buoyed him tremendously through his many health challenges. Paddy raised a family to be proud of and leaves a wonderful legacy in you all.
