I remember him fondly from my young days when I would spend a week of the summer school holidays at the home of my aunt Mary Ellen Trench and her family in nearby Gowel, Mayo Abbey. I know he was a great listener to my shows on Midwest Radio. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I have many fond memories of Paddy from the 60's & 70's while I was growing up in Coarsefield. He was hard working, well respected and much loved in the community. He was always in good humour and such fun to be with. Laughter abounded whenever Paddy was present. A real gentleman!
