The Gallaghers of Illinois offer our deepest sympathy to Gerard, Laurence, Mary, Joe and their families at the sudden loss of Patrick. He always happily welcomed his American cousins during our visits to Ireland, and was generous in taking time to spend with us. He will be greatly missed. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
"If the only prayer you said in your whole life was "thank you", that would suffice."
Meister Eckhart

Paddy and I were in National school together as indeed were many of the lads from the area. We had a lot of fun both in school and "on the Green" , playing soccer and just horsing around, and I enjoyed knocking on his door to see if he would come out to play. Although our life paths changed over the years as we pursued other interests and followed our dreams, the early relationships we build in life become more meaningful as the many dawns we encounter pass us by. Thank you, Paddy, for being a part of my existence. A safe passage to you...and my condolences to all the Mullally family he left behind.
A terrible tragedy and a waste of life. Condolences to all the Lallys.
