Bernie, I was very saddened to hear about Paddy’s departure. My sincerest sympathies to you & all the family. Paddy was such a hard working man and when Alan & I lived in No. 28, he always greeted us with a smile, cheery humour (& sometimes a chat!). There were many occasions on which he offered to help me/us with something, I particularly remember him digging the snow out of our garden path in 2010. He was a wonderful neighbour. Nothing was ever too much trouble. My heart goes out to you all, I know you will miss him greatly. Sadly I cannot attend tomorrow but I’ll call to see you in the New Year. Will be thinking of you tomorrow & in coming weeks.
