I worked for Paddy as a messenger boy in the shop from the early 1970's. Before the fire. One of the perks of the job was that I never had to pay in to Dayler to a match and often sat with Paddy at those games. I can still hear him roaring "That's a great ball" at the top of his voice; an expression and insight I seem to have inherited from him. I will always remember Paddy's kindness to my family during tough times and how hard he worked to raise his daughters after Eileen's passing. Eternally grateful to you and you family Paddy. May you rest in peace.
Teresa, Trish, Attracta and Marion my sincere condolences on the death of your lovely Dad Paddy and apologies that I wasn’t able to
attend the funeral service as I was abroad.
Paddy has always been a part of our family’s life all over the years and he and Eileen were such good friends of Lila and Gerry. End of an era. A very special man and a thorough gent and it’s comforting to think that he and Eileen are back together again 🙏 Thinking of you all and your families at this very sad time. May your Dad rest in peace 🙏

Deepest sympathy to all the Neville family on the death of "Mr. Neville" RIP. I am a Holy Rosary Sister and we lived next door in 11 / 12 Dalymount. We saw Teresa, Trish, Attracta and Marian growing up and to think they are now Grandmothers and one of them is a Great Grandmother! We did our shopping in Mr. Neville's shop in the lane at the end of our garden! Mr. Neville was always so good to us and so obliging. I left Dalymount for Zambia in 1986. I have such fond memories of you all. On behalf of the Holy Rosary Sisters I extend our gratitude and sympathy to you all.

My sincerest sympathy to Teresa, Patricia, Attracta and Marian on the passing of their dear father Paddy. My parents were friends of the Neville family since the 1940’s and my mother visited the shop virtually every day. Very fond memories of his little shop on the lane. I was a young girl living in a flat on St. Peter's Road in the late 70's and you could buy single items (potatoes or eggs) and he was always so accommodating. Whatever money we had we didnt want to spend it on food. He was a gentleman. Sincere condolences to all his family

To Teresa, Patricia, attracta and Marion may we extend to you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your your lovely and very kind father Paddy. Our parents were lifelong friends with your mam and dad for over 70 years. There are so many stories of laughter and joy over the years but space prevents accommodating all. Suffice to say that he ran a shop that today would be impossible to find in courtesy, service over and above normal in looking after his customers particularly at Christmas. Paddy was a great man for stories of his beloved Bohemians and indeed sports in general where he was always up to date. God blessPaddy. The world is a poorer place without you but heaven will surely be enriched.
We are saddened to hear that Mr Neville has passed away. Condolences to all the family on their loss. May Mr Neville now rest in peace.
