Paddy was such a kind gentleman. He worked behind my grandparents' house in Irishtown many many years ago and we later became neighbours. He always had great stories to tell! My deepest sympathy to the McDonough family on the passing of their beloved Uncle Paddy.
Pat, you were a gentleman and a wonderful person with a great sense of humour. You were always there to give a helping hand at work and cheer us all up with a funny story or a practical joke.
In the years after Kimmage I always looked forward to meeting you for lunch and catching up and you were so kind to Mum too who has recently joined up there in heaven where I am sure you are keeping everyone entertained.
Rest in Peace Pat,
I have great memories of Paddy visiting on Sunday mornings to my grandparents house on Murtagh Road. The slagging and football chat was brilliant and always with a warmth and kindness too. You would have to be up early not to be caught out by Paddy hopping the ball. As I started to follow the Ireland football team home and away, he was always ready with a quip that would have me in stitches and arguing back at the same time. An encyclopedic knowledge of both cinema and Celtic. A great friend of my late Grandfather and the wider McDonough family for years and years. A true gentleman whose kindness touched so many.

May you rest in peace Paddy.
