I am shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely loss of Paddy who was a fantastic ally and friend for advice and also a great sport who enjoyed a bit of craic when it came to his GAA. He will be greatly missed and is somebody who's legacy will amongst other things live on in the incredible amount of conservation work he had got involved with and in those who he inspired to engage with our wildlife and biodiversity. We are very grateful for the time Paddy gave us doing many biodiversity walks and talks in Rathangan and of course providing us with swift boxes and the knowledge to monitor them. He was a very knowledgeable man whose passion for nature was infectious (in a positive way). He was also very patient and encouraged us to record many wildlife sightings. Something we will pursue and build on to carry on his work. Rest in peace Paddy.
