It was a pleasure to be in his company.

Our Condolences to Paddy’s Family and to Jimmy, Tommy and Martin. We always found Paddy to be ever pleasant and in good form. He must have ‘shod’ most people of all ages in the County over the years! Never forgot his Cavan roots and an integral member of The Swarbriggs in Mullingar over the years.

Sincere sympathies to all the Swarbriggs and extended family and all Paddy's many friends. I was sorry to have missed his funeral.

Paddy and his shop were a staple of life for many in Mullingar in the 80s and 90s.

He guided many a footwear purchase with good humour and unstinting decency. He will be missed, may he rest now in peace with his beloved wife, Jackie.

As a kid I was always excited to get new shoes so I could see Paddy. He would often give me cool toys. I remember how excited I would be every time to show him my toys. He was the only one I remember being genuinely interested in the silly backstories of my toys. He was a really kind man
