I only heard it the last few days of
Pat’s death. RIP. What a great character he was. I loved his humour and transacting the price of the spuds. Everybody loved Pat.
The spud bargaining was something else. Ye had a great long life together Renee. I had the pleasure of meeting him in the past 10 years.
I treasure his memories nd am sad after him.
May Heaven be his bed now Renee

Pat,was a pleasure to meet and chat with,(usually),however he held very entrenched opinions,about Castlemartyr & their nearest neighbours,so I would deliberately avoid discussing anything,about hurling or anything GAA,I would talk
about the weather or tractors,anything but sport,other then that,Pat,was
a complete gentleman,he grew lovely floury spuds on his own land,if for
no other reason,Pat Barry,will be greatly missed,by many,for his new season potatoes,But I 'm sure there is many reasons,he will be missed,very much,
by many,he was a bit of a legend,around Castlemartyr
May perpetual light shine down on his soul.
