Patrick (Pat) Brophy

I recall Pat as an absolute gentleman who was always fair. He was a great conversationalist who shortened many a journey with me.

We were neighbours in New Ross as my father Pat (deceased) worked with Pat on the construction of Campile Power Station (ESB)…..I recall Pat as a thorough gentleman and an absolutely brilliant footballer and the backbone of the Great Island ESB Team….

I had the good fortune to meet Pat in Lanesboro Power Station in 1981 when I started my career as an Engineer with Ascon. He was the Site Manager and a brilliant Engineer.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We deeply and sincerely regret Paddy's death. He was an absolute gentleman and a great friend to me. I owe him a lot from my time in ESB. We just heard of his death and I regret having missed his funeral. Go ndéanfaidh Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.

Kathleen, Michael & Anne - i am very sad to hear of Pat's passing. I only met with him a few weeks ago at Ger Brophy's funeral. He always was a pleasure to talk & reminisce with.
