So So Sorry to learn of Pat's passing recently.Great memories of playing with Pat on a very successful Crosshaven Soccer team in the late 60's early 70's,Highlight of which was a unique double of winning the AUL Premier League Championship and Blue Riband of Cork Soccer the AOH cup at Flower Lodge in 1971.Pat featured a lot and rightly so in the Glorious era in Bill Keating's Book,History of Crosshaven Soccer club launched recently in the Seaside Village. A gentleman who infected others with good feeling. Like the glowing hearth of fire on a winter's night, you couldn't help but sense the warmth eminate from him and repose, comfortable and at home, in his presence.

I will miss him, the world suddenly seems slightly colder knowing he doesn't walk in it with me anymore. Pat was famous for not making it to the punchline of a joke so as a wise and wonderful man once began;

An Englishman, a Scotsman and a great man from Cork arrived at the pearly gates of Heaven..."

...and there let the jokes and laughter continue.
