Sincere sympathy to all Pat's family on their sad loss. I was privileged to have worked and known Pat during my time as secretary in Mercy Secondary School. He was always so cheerful and chatty, always a ready smile. All who knew him will miss him forever.

He saw us each as individuals and not just a group of pupils who were all the same. His classes were always engaging and he would bring some fun into them. So sorry to hear of Mr. Dalton's death. He made a huge impact on my school years (80's), always had time to chat & help with schoolwork. I must have asked him 40 times to explain Pythagorus therum & he did! until I understood. A fantastic teacher & mentor

Very sad to hear of the passing of Mr Dalton. He was by far my favourite teacher throughout all my secondary school years. I was very lucky to have been taught by him in the 90's. He instilled passion for Maths in everyone he taught. He was the epitome of what a teacher should be. RIP Mr Dalton
