I am very sorry to hear of Pat's death.

Pat was one of my former classmates in St. Mel's College and I remember him for his love of music, poetry & reading.

We were also members of the Editorial Committee that produced the College's magazine Macra Mel in Summer 1974.

Those were the days that seem so carefree now.

Thinking of Pat's family, aunt and cousins especially at this time.

I will miss Pat very much. Many a great night I had with him when I lived in Stoneybatter and from work nights with the Homeless Unit. He was the best craic and I loved being in his company. Pat was a great conversationalist and he had deep empathy for his clients. I will remember most that glint in his eye and his wonderful smile and laugh. Slán go foill, mo chara. Grá mór.

Years later we both worked in homeless services in Dublin and I only heard kind words of Pat’s caring assistance to people. He made a difference and will be much missed.
