I am sorry that I could not attend Pat's funeral today as I was at a prearranged engagment that I could not change.
I would have liked to pay my repects on his passing as I knew him from my national school days in Cadamstown and my visits to his home there.
He was friendly, likeable and a larger than life person and we had some great evenings together.
