Patrick (Pat) Gleeson

Dearest Maeve, Enya, Eábha, Síofra, Jim & the extended families. Pat was one of a kind, a wonderful caring, witty, intelligent, mad about sport (especially hurling) person but most importantly & his favourite role of all a husband & father. May all of the wonderful memories he made & shared with you offer you all some solace at this time. We miss him terribly as a friend, a mentor to Conor (esp for hurling) & neighbour but remember him with such warmth, fun, a little bit of mischief, smiles & love. Conor will keep pucking the sliotars in his honour❤️ Rest In Peace Pat & watch over your beautiful family💕❤️

It was with great shock we heard of Pat’s death. He was always very approachable and always ready for a chat - particularly about hurling! Sincerest condolences to all of the Gleeson family.

I was shocked and very sad to hear about Pat. Deepest sympathies to all the family. I knew Pat through my sister Nuala in Ratoath GAA and met Pat at many juvenile games and many Tipp matches. Gentleman and great fun. Awful loss to his family and friends. May he rest in peace

I only heard today about Patrick’s death. It absolutely took my breath away. That beautiful man that could tilt his head back & make all things normal his calmness & obvious true interest in humans . His love for his wife Maeve & children , was so genuine. Our sympathy.

You have clearly left a wonderful legacy in your four beautiful children who have done you so remarkably proud. A Billy Joel song comes to mind-‘Only the Good Die Young’-you were sadly and most definitely a testament to that. Although I never had the privilege to know you personally, Maeve has been very good to me over the years and I’m not sure I’ve ever known a more respected couple,in the Meath and Tipperary communities and also in the legal profession.You were and will continue to be the power couple by whom people knew you both.Rest easy now Pat and watch over your father, Maeve,your incredible children & wider circle of family and friends 🙏

He knew each of the boys individually and was always willing to provide encouragement, advice with a sprinkle of wit. He was so kind, generous and loved discussing travel. The world will be a duller place without him but he certainly will never be forgotten. RIP Pat.
