Pam, Susan and Family
So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I know it has been a long battle for him. Our sincere sympathy to you all and may he rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to all the Kearney family .
Pat was a truly remarkable man. One of the rarest; A man who gave his all to support, inspire and change the world around him for the better.

I first met Pat as first year in DIT, who had moved up to the big shmoke from Cork. We bonded over our passion for equality and the rivalry of the Cork/Dub real capital battle. Pat, not only was always up for a laugh but also there for solid advice and a chat (something I took him up on often being so far from home) I don't know if he could possibly have known how much of an impact he had in so many lives and helped change so many for the better. His legacy is nothing short of profound.

Incredibly sad to have heard of Pat's passing, sending love, light and strength to his family during this time.
Words cannot express the thanks I have for Pat's contribution to the students of our University. Pat's dedication and support to the Students' Union is immeasurable, and I would like to thank him on behalf of the Student Representatives he has worked with over the years.

Pat strongly believed that Students' Unions are "run by students for students and accountable to students", and that is something we continue to champion today.

May he rest in peace.
To Pam and family - sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies on Pat's passing. May he rest in peace.
Dear Pam and family,

Deepest condolences on the loss of Pat. I always found him to be great fun and a warm loving person that was clearly very proud of his family (and Leinster Rugby). I am sure that you will all miss him terribly and i wish you all strength in the difficult times ahead.

May he rest in peace
Very sorry to hear of Pats passing and condolences to the whole Kearney family.
Pat has been such a constant in my life the last decade that I don't even know where to begin. He was around for so many of my big life moments, buying our home, getting married and having our family. He was always happy to lend an ear and support however he could. He was one of a kind and underneath the love of an argument was one of the kindest people I ever met. He was a great mentor and friend.

I look back at our time working together and I just have great memories of coffees, chats, debates and laughter. I've learnt so much from him, and I will be forever grateful to have had him in my life.

My sincere condolences to you Pam, Dave, Susan and Gav. I know how much he adored you all. I heard it every day.
One of the kindest, warmest, most gentle souls I knew. A man who worked with a fierce passion for the rights of students and who was always available for a chat or to offer advice.

I learned so much from Pat during my time working with him in DITSU and I was so sorry to hear of his passing.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Susan we are so sorry to hear of your Dad's sad passing. Our thoughts are with you, your Mum and family.
For well over 40 years after a meeting or visit I would say "bye Pat" normally as I waddled out the door stuffed with a gastro fiesta he had prepared and served. Quietly and smugly I would head on my way proud that I knew such a wonderful man. He was not only family but a friend, a sage, an intellect and an educator.

My last "bye Pat" was some weeks ago and there those parting words will remain. I will no longer pipe out that parting chant as I will keep you with me in my memories where you will live as long as I do, you, perched on a throne of high respect and esteem A life well lived, well done sir.

I do however reserve the right to miss your physical absence.
R.I.P. Pat

To Susan and family, what a beautiful tribute to your Dad. I know you will cherish all the many happy memories you have with him and i hope they are giving you strength during this time. RIP Pat.
To Pam, Gav & all of Pat’s family & large group of amazing friends, some of whom I met at his birthday party, I send my deepest sympathy.
Having worked with Pat over many years I can only say that he was one of the strongest, most devoted of family men I have ever met. In addition his love for his work, developing talent and leading Ditsu through many of it’s transformational changes was always a huge discussion point. He also loved exchanging, debating & exploring new ideas...& of course his sense of justice, love of Leinster rugby , desire to help anybody who needed it and his own unique personality, including love of a good laugh and good. company, regardless of age, gender, background etc., in fact he really enjoyed getting to know as many different humans as possible, are all standouts for me. He will be so missed. He was a true warrior and will not be forgotten.

I first met Pat as a friend of Dave's, back when we were both in Trinity all those years ago. Over the years, through watching rugby and at Dave's wedding in particular, I'm lucky to have got to know him a little. He was always gracious and kind to me, and was able to put people at ease. He raised a wonderful family. My sincere condolences on your loss.
