Pat-Man (as I used to call him) will be truly missed. I used to work on Grafton with him, he was always alert and protective of all the staff no matter what. Absolute Legend!

Pat was an absolute titan of a man, who protected us, supported us, and advocated for us, as young lads working in retail at the time. So many fond memories of Pat, and ever so often, when I stopped for a chat after my years of leaving Grafton St, we'd have a chat, and he was always there with an encouraging word. I'd miss the chat and fatherly advice - and I want to extend my condolences to his family, who were so dear to him. Sleep well, Pat, you absolute legend!

Pat was a true gentleman with a heart of pure gold. He was always on hand to help us out and checked in on us every morning to see if we’re ok. He will be greatly missed by all on Grafton St. To his family and friends, our heartfelt condolences to you. Rest easy Pat.

We have lost an absolute legend and one of the last few true blue gents of Dublin. I met Pat too many years ago now when I worked in Meteor in Henry street and knew instantly he was a rare one, before he moved to Grafton Street. But I was lucky to move to Grafton street a few years later and be reunited and spend a few years working together. He was the best. Great craic, calm under pressure, fiercely loyal and clever as a fox. I left Grafton street as a place of work well over a decade ago but would never ever complete a walk up or down Grafton Street without checking to see if Pat was working and my daughters would expect the stop. Grafton Street wont be the same without a "Stop and Chat to Pat". My deepest condolences to all his family.

It was a pleasure to meet Pat all those years ago and work on Grafton Street with him - he was one of the best Security Officers. Then got the pleasure of meeting him again years later. Always took the time to chat and always gave a hand. RIP Pat. You will be missed.

Pat was the best person I had the opportunity to work with, always there protecting the staff being kind, singing the songs played in Grafton and he was so sweet, alwas offered me tea and was always defending us against bad people, 3 years working with him got the chance to learn so many valuable lesson about life and family.
I hope lord will keep him and give him the rest he deserved, when I get old I want to be happy as I remember he was.

Worked with Pat for many years in the Eir shop on Grafton St. Was the loveliest, kindest man you could ever meet. Always full of jokes, could brighten any bad day with a chat over a cuppa. My condolences to Pat’s family, he will be wholeheartedly missed by all those who he has crossed paths with in this life. Grafton St will not be the same without him. X

I worked with Pat for about 3 years, since the day I arrived he always treated me good he always protect me and the staff, we use to sing songs at grafton during our shifts together, watch the sinuca game at the television at work and he was always laughing and having a great time, drinkinghis tea, Pat will be forever in our hearts, he was so lovely that people at grafton ask about him everyday.
I have no words to describe how many good memories I have with him.
I hope he will enjoy the beautiful place he is now with God.
