Sincere condolences to Nick, Cora & the extended McEvoy family on the death of Pat. May the memories of happier times bring comfort at this sad time.
Sincere condolences to Patricia, Margaret, Veronica and extended McEvoy families on the passing of your brother Patrick. He was truly a legend and a pure joy to be around. From his antics starting with us in Dalkey school as a young boy in babies class to his latter years in Dalkey he brought nothing but laughter and happiness to anyone that encountered him. Certainly puts the rest of us to shame as his life mustn't have been easy. Rest in peace Patrick your were an honour to your family.
Rest in Peace Mackie. Always a great laugh and a good chat. Condolences to Nick and family.
It is sad that this chapter in time has come to an end … Uncle Pat … “the one armed bandit” … or … “the bandit” … or … just “bandit” … as I’ve so often heard him so fondly referred to … or … “el bandito” as the Spanish would say …

And now … he has passed out of the harbor, beyond Dalkey Island … over the rainbow to the great beyond

I will miss him … as I always made a point of dropping into see him whenever I was over to Ireland to visit …

On one of my visits … I stopped in while he happened to be messing around with the mower … trying to cut the grass … and I felt like I was in great luck … to be able to give my uncle a hand and cut the grass for him … all of 3 minutes work …

It saddens me now … to realize … that I only took over the grass cutting operations for the grass munching goat….

I wish I was able to be there to have seen you off … in your beautiful pink suit…. Sorry I missed you…. But as I understand it … I was not the only one unable to see you in your beautiful pink suit at your send off.

Always a great laugh whenever with Uncle Pat … he was such fun… you would never believe what happened … but it happened to Uncle Pat.

May God Bless you … “el Bandito” you will be missed …

All my Love
Your nephew … Sean Donovan.

We send our sincere condolences to the McEvoy family. We will miss our conversations with Pat in the lane, which would always make you laugh and think. Pat displayed a wonderful kindness to animals, including our dog who would always get a treat if we were passing and Pat was on the step. He was a good neighbour.

Lovely memories of Pat....he was the best of uncles to Luke and Lucy.... especially to Luke who he would collect, as a little fella to go off on so many daylong adventures full of fun and mischief. An uncle nephew relationship that was so strong and lovely to witness especially in the last few years when Pat was unwell. A good pal to myself also and even though I hadn't seen much of him the last few years whenever we met he had the warmest of hugs for me. Very sad to hear of his passing, condolences to all his sisters, brothers, his many nephews and nices and friends, and especially to Nick, Luke, Sophia and Ella x

My condolences to Pat’s family on his very sad passing. I have great memories of him in Scoil Haroid in Dalkey in the 60’s. He was a great guy and very competitive at all things. In 1966 during the 50th. anniversary celebrations of The Rising, Pat won the competition to recite the Easter Rising Proclamation from the stage in Liberty Hall a great achievement at the time. May you Rest in Perfect Peace Pat with those who have gone before you.
Sincere condolences to Nick, Cora and the extended McEvoy family on the death of Pat. May the fond memories of happy times spent together sustain you at this sad time.
Deepest condolences to Nicholas and all the McEvoy family.
I was in the chemist on Railway rd one day and Pat was sitting on a stool inside the door, it was obvious he was in a lot of pain, but he got up every single time an old person approached the door and opened it for them. It was very touching to witness.

May he rest in peace.

Shocked. Pat you were a lovely man. Many Dalkey memories. Safe travels my friend. Happiness awaits you.
Sorry to hear of Pat’s untimely death. He was a great character around Dalkey.
I have lots of memories of Pat & all are hilarious. One year in the ‘80s he made a small fortune picking blackberries in Dalkey Quarry.
Another time he agreed to paint my parent’s two-story house in Glandore Park, on the understanding that he signed a contract agreeing he would not sue if he fell off the ladder & injured himself. He did a fine job & was proud of the paint job.
Another year he had a novel idea to deal with the grass in the back garden. Sarah, Pat’s mother was mystified at the sight of a goat munching its way around the garden. He forgot to warn her.
Pat was a lovely funny kind man.
Sending my condolences to all the McEvoy family especially Luke, Ella & Nick.
While I never had the great pleasure of meeting you in person, I have witnessed the joy on the faces and heard the laughter of those who tell stories of you and how much you meant to them. Your impact was as deep to them as their love for you. Sending peace and love to your family in this time of sadness. Rest peacefully.
