The recent passing of Pat Murphy, President of Celbridge GAA, has left a void in the community that cannot be overstated. More than any other individual Pat was the person with the friendly welcome for so many of my generation that were striving to settle into a new community. The hospitality and generosity given freely by Pat and his late wife Betty is legendary. Rest in Peace dear friend, you have earned it.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Pat over the last couple of years. He lived and breathed for Celbridge and from what I know of him was deservedly the club president.
