We have many good memories of Pat over the years. We played many good games of Tennis in Ireland, Morocco and Florida and when Pat missed a shot he would say “Oh No” in a real Country accent, this we will always remember. May He Rest in Peace now in his heavenly home.

He was a wonderful colleague, social worker and person. Many times his name still comes up in conversation when chatting about good times past and Pats contribution to them.

I have just watched the funeral mass for dear Pat from my home near London. It was a very fitting tribute to a kind, humorous gentleman whom l was lucky enough to call a friend..
I taught him to play chess on holiday in West Cork and in the lovely eugology by his namesake & nephew l was pleased to hear that he still played.
So farewell for now Big Pat, thanks so much for the fun times & great memories.

We are shocked & saddened to hear of dear Pats passing. He was a wonderful friend for over 35 years. We have shared holidays with him & Tressa in West Cork and weekends in our caravans in Co, Dublin and good times in The Tearooms & here in the London area.
He was a pleasure to be with. It was good to see how happy he was in Holycross.

Pat Richardson was our houseparent in Booterstown childrens home.Pat was a kind very funny houseparent.When giving out to us he would say " Theres a hole in the boat & your going through it!! Haaa i never forgot his words.Pat you were the best houseparent any of us could ask for.Thanks for everything.Rest in peace Pat.

Hi to all Pat's family and Theresa. So sorry to hear of Pat's sad passing. We were great Friends down the years 1st through working together in DCC and after Pats's retirement we played many a game of golf in Swords and Sillogue. Pat was always great company we enjoyed many a laugh over a pint in the Estuary House or the Carnegie Hotel. His tales of life in Florida always facinated me and all the different people he encountered there, He loved his tennis and in later life loved improving at golf. I was lucky to have called him a good friend and will miss his harty laugh always. Rest in peace Pat you were one of life's lovely gentle giants. Best wises Luke and Dorothy Fitzgerald
