So very sad to hear today of Pats passing. Knowing the most very gentle man that Pat was, was our pleasure and privilege, what lovely fun we had at choir practice with his friendly quiet smile. To hear him sing the Wexford Carol was a heartfelt experience. The world is a sadder place for your leaving Pat.

I have fond memories of Paddy from our time together in the CBS in Tuam. He was the most diligent student in the class and invariably completed all his assignments to perfection, with the result that those who did not emulate him and needed to 'cog' the exercises invariably tried to get hold of his. His life was gentle and there was nothing rough about him. He was respected by all. I met him from time to time throughout his life and he remained the same: pleasant, quiet and inoffensive. Those who knew him will be saddened by his death. May he rest in peace, as he deserves.

We often throw out words at a time like this, as in …….what a gentleman, a beautiful kind soul, inoffensive, non pass remarkable! If ever a man deserved these accolades, it was the lovely, lovely man Pat was. He was such a dote of a person. Quiet spoken and always so ready to help.
