When someone who has always been there is taken it leaves a big void. Many who met Pat would have seen a talented musician and a consummate professional, but he was so much more than that. A loving husband, father and grandfather. For me personally he was also engaging, knowledgeable and considerate, a man I admired and respected.

I can only imagine the pain of losing Pat for Kay, Fiona and Niamh, so when I saw this quote it felt appropriate:
"To the world he was one person, but for some people he was the world."

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
— Aidan and Barbara Vaughan

As a next-door neighbour I have memories of Pat returning our ball (over and over again!) after it going over the wall of the back gardens. So sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of Pat. To his wife and family we extend our deepest sympathy,
We were classmates in both the Monastery Primary and Abbey Secondary Schools, Tipp. all those years ago and Pat was a bright, intelligent, fun-loving and very popular boy in our class. He produced many a top class performance on the Hurling and Football field with both the Abbey School and Arravale Rovers, when we were fortunate to be teammates. Sadly our paths didn't cross in recent years.

I think it appropriate to quote the first few lines of Slan Le Maigh, a poem we learned in class together,
O slan is cead
On taobh so uaim
Cois Maighe na gcaor
Na gcraobh na gcruach

May you Rest in Peace Pat with your deceased relatives, friends and some old classmates,
