I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Pat’s passing. Pat was one of life’s true gentleman. Anytime Pat would come to the ward he would brighten our days not alone by his witty sense of humour but just by his presence. Both staff and residents loved him and he always made time no matter how busy he was to chat to everyone. He was so obliging and no job was too big or too small.
One of life’s rare gems has been called to his heavenly home. I hope Pat has got the best bed in heaven.

It is a privilege to have worked with Pat who brought not only his remarkable knowledge and skills but more importantly his wonderful character, decency and sense of humour. Some people have the ability to make any situation better simply be being there, Pat was one of those.

I've read many of the previous condolences and the resounding term used has been "gentleman" which is absolutely accurate and yet, at the same time, somehow falls short in its description when applied to Pat although I cannot think of any other term that quite lives up, which I suspect is equally true of others messages here. Treasured memories always, may Pat rest in peace.
